This song is traditionally used by ministers, or evangelists to accompany a call for audience members to publicly give their hearts to Jesus. I like it as it was originally written and did not cry out for new music. However, I believe that there are those who will pay attention to this song because of the contemporary up-beat sound who might never hear it during an altar call. If it brings only one commitment for Christ, what a thrill. I hope that those who love the original music will not be offended by this bold expression of surrendering all to Jesus.
